Our professional development courses are aimed at ensuring everyone has the knowledge and understanding they need to use credit based learning and OCN accreditation effectively. 

New to Open College Network and its Administration
This one day course will provide an overview of the principles of credit based learning, using units as a basis of assessment, administration and the NOCN quality model.

Making Assessment Successful
This one day course is designed to help staff who are about to run a new N/OCN course and need to develop an efficient assessment plan which tracts outcomes, builds portfolios and provides feedback to learners.

Internal Verifier Award
This is a three day programme which enable staff to gain the NOCN Award and meet the criteria for Approved Internal Verifier Status (AVIS). This is designed for people who are actively taking up the role of IV.

Advanced Internal Verification
This is a one day workshop and is part of a Continuing Profession Development programme for experienced IV staff who want to register as an OCN Approved IV.
