Quality Surgeries

Quality Surgeries are designed to offer a flexible external verification and certification service. This option is best suited to centres with fewer than 25 learners.

Quality surgeries are offered at a number of venues across the south east region. This service offers you:

• A choice of local venues and individual one hour appointment in a relaxed environment without fear of interruption.
• A time saving and effective service for externally verifying provision for centres who do not have an Approved Internal Verifier* in place.
• A fast turnaround for your accreditation as your Recommendation for Award of Credit (RAC) Forms will be despatched immediately to our administration centre.

During the one-to-one meeting, the Quality Reviewer will be happy to discuss your internal verification processes and procedures and/or sign your RACs. Should you wish to have your RACs signed at this meeting you will need to provide samples of learners’ work. Where appropriate Quality Reviewers will request samples of good practice which will help to inform the quality of provision across the region and nationally.

The booking form outlines details of the dates and venues.  Please complete and return your form as soon as possible to secure your preferred choice of date, time and venue.

Confirmation of your booking will be accompanied by venue details, guidance on sample size and any details of any other supporting documents needed on the day.

* Approved Internal Verifier Status (AIVS) is awarded to individual internal verifiers within particular centres, following completion of an OCN workshop and after providing evidence of good practice.  For more information please visit the Approved Internal Verifier Status Web page
