14 to 19 Learning

The 14 - 19 age suite of qualifications continues to be developed by National Open College Network (NOCN) and will include new qualifications relating to PSHEE at level 2 in the near future. Many of the qualifications are part of the QCF (Qualifications and Credit Framework) and as such are fundable. To see all of all NOCN Qualifications and download a prospect please click here

A range of providers are increasingly using these qualifications including Schools (of all types), Colleges, Sixth Form Colleges, Youth Services, Business Education Partnerships and Private Training Providers.

Providers can use these Qualifications to enhance National Curriculum and in some cases provide a personalised alternative curriculum.

The features which are most valued are:

  • The wide range of units available
  • The flexibility provided
  • The "bite-sized" nature of delivery and
  • The formative style of assessment which often include practical tastes in the learning contact

As with all NOCN Qualifications they are suppoted by an optional training programme and an assigned team of people, who will visit you, to help with your curriculum development.
